PS41Q and Real Brave Audio’s community partner, After School Rocks, are excited to offer a new after-school program for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders that brings quality arts education and music instruction to kids! We will be offering small group classes after school at PS41Q for either guitar or drums (bucket drumming). No prior experience with guitar or drums is needed! After School Rocks uses a student-friendly method that will have your child playing real songs.
Right now, we'd like to see if there's interest to host this program at our school. Space is very limited, so please fill out this form by Friday, 2/4/2022. This is NOT your official registration, but rather an indication of your interest.
Tentative Schedule
Lessons would run from Monday, 2/14/22 through Wednesday, 6/22/22, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from dismissal to 3:30pm. The semester will be for 18 weeks and will be adjusted for school holidays.
In June, our students will be featured in a some sort of virtual presentation for all of our families to enjoy. If enough students want to attend these classes, your commitment would be to attend the weekly class and practice at home.
Tentative Cost
The cost will be approximately $230 + instrument (guitars are approximately $100-150 and drum buckets and sticks are about $15-20); exact costs to be determined.
